If we take a look at the offer of mobile brands that we see all trust their fate to a model and seeking to diversify its supply. On the side of the monoculture we have Apple and its iPhone, on the other we can consider that HTC itself under the same basic hardware create different flavors by adding keyboards, switching cabinets …

So far only played with HTC Windows Mobile with Android but has broken new ground in its ability to adapt its range. We had a notice with the Magic and the Dream that although very different on the outside are very similar inside.

But now we have something on the table that opens up interesting possibilities and is able to compare two operating systems on virtually the same hardware platform. Moreover, in both cases with HTC’s own interpretation in each case what is a skin to make it more friendly to use your phone. Who are the protagonists of this story? Well, are none other than the HTC Touch Diamond and HTC Hero 2. DONOTCHANGE

Let’s say that HTC has left the mark on the exterior of the model with Android hardware which is seems to want the feature “jaw.” Other differences are the screen resolution, which is 320 × 480 × 480 in Android 800 at Diamond 2. Are also different from the headphone socket, 3.5 mm in the Hero and the owner USB in Windows Mobile. And more recently, the presence of the trackball on Android and a battery of 250 mAh more on Hero.

Of course the screen in a capacitive and resistive case in the other but the rest is the same: memory, processor … And as for Android OS seems to be upgradable, and HTC promised they’ll be able to update at least once to the Windows Mobile 6.5 Diamond 2.

It is the turn of the buyers, what is the best seller?
