Tuesday, January 13th, 2009

Dell launches new desktop for gamers, the XPS 625, which offers this time a configuration based on the AMD platform Dragon.
It will be entitled to a Phenom II engraved in 45 nm, and one or two graphics cards like Radeon HD CrossFireX. The case remains the classic of the XPS line, with a light borrowed from Alienware.
By choosing such a platform, Dell wants to focus on price. The XPS 625 starts at 999 euros, with a Phenom X3 8750 + Black Edition to 2.4 GHz. Not much to report at the beginning of the end then, but Dell offers a complete setup in the Euro 2000 with a Phenom 9850 + Black Edition 2.5 GHz, 8 GB of RAM, 1.5 TB of hard drive RAID , a 750 watt power supply and a 24-inch monitor (S2409W), a two CrossFireX 4670 512 MB, a DVD burner and Vista 64 bit.
