HP launches its first laptop touch screen multi-touch
HP launches its first portable multi-touch, the TouchSmart TX2, which allows full control office via a touch screen. This technology, similar to that used for the iPhone and other portable devices, has been provided by the Israeli firm developing software N-Trig. Microsoft said it would introduce the concept of multi-touch on the next version of its operating system, Windows 7, whose launch is planned for 2010.
“You can surf Web sites and view photos or videos in a few gestures. This is an entirely new way to enjoy digital content on a laptop,” said Ted Clark, senior vice president and general manager Division HP Notebook Global Business Unit. More »
