Free software to reduce the energy consumption of a PC
Verdiem, a specialist in power management on PCs, today launched a free downloadable product designed to simplify the management of the energy consumption of a PC. The software uses the dedicated present on all PCs, but generally ignored by users.
The new software Edison is mainly the general public, but can also be used by professionals at home and collaborators distance that must monitor and limit the energy consumption of their machines.
The product provides a simplified interface to facilitate access to features built into the operating system the PC. Users can set the hours at which the computer should automatically pause, and manage the duration of inactivity on the computer before the extinction of the screen, hard drive and PC.
