lg versa g03 300x193 Review: LG Versa

User Interface and accelerometer

If you thought the interface of the LG Dare is a little mess, as we did, you will appreciate the new 3D interface Versa. Move your finger about 3 inches, 480 x 240 pixel touch screen (left or right in portrait mode and the top or bottom in landscape mode) will toggle through three different jobs that can customize. On the first screen, you can add bookmarks, and the second screen lets you add shortcuts to something from the browser on the role of visual voicemail, and the third screen can be added to the media, it is to say, shortcuts, images, videos, music and Internet Favorites.

For example, to add a shortcut to the main page of the New York Times who visited the display and the third hit the wheel icon in the lower right corner, a button on the left half of the screen. Then, you click Favorites in the menu that appears, select and the New York Times, from a list of bookmarks that have already created from your browser. Once completed, an icon for the site has appeared on the screen of the Versa.

Moving between desktops is fast and fairly smooth, with a beautiful 3D cube, and the accelerometer is very sensitive. The screen changes orientation in most cases, when it became the Versa. Most applications open quickly, too. High accelerometer works equally well in the direction of our vehicle when we play a game of Need for Speed Underground, all he had to do was to tilt the phone to go left or right of the screen.

The browser and messaging

Although the Versa browser pales in comparison to what you find in the iPhone is worthy of a device which is not a smartphone. You can use three tabs available at all times, and subscribe to RSS RSS son to touch the icon next to a Web address. Just do not expect much of the so-called support Flash in this browser. Sites like Pandora and Slack do not work, and like most phones, you have to stick to the mobile version of YouTube for video of their correction.

However, the speed of the browser has been impressive Versa. The mobile version of NYTimes.com (6 seconds), CNN.com (4 seconds) and ESPN.com (6 seconds), all loaded fast enough. Versa took much longer to load the full HTML sites with more photos and engadget.com blog.laptopmag.com with the load in 28 seconds, but could begin to read the content within 10 seconds. While the zoom on web pages is not as easy as double-tap the iPhone, can be expanded by clicking the icon on the bottom right in a Web page and selecting the magnifying glass icon.

Like other devices from Verizon Wireless, the Versa supports the application of mobile instant messaging (with the usual AIM, Yahoo, and customers of Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk, but not) and applications of e-mail mobile that works with AOL, Hotmail and Yahoo and other accounts.
