MSI features two new mini-desktop
The Taiwanese manufacturer has unveiled its first two mini-desktop computers, with three points to key a reduced energy consumption is relatively low, and a sale price attractive.
The first, the Wind Nettop CS 120, is ultra-compact, with a box measuring 30x24x6, 5 cm. It features an Intel Atom 230 processor running at 1.66 GHz, on board an Intel chipset 945 GC, 1 GB of RAM and a hard disk with a capacity of 160 GB as well as the operating system Windows XP Home Edition.
The mini-machine has a DVD player, and 6 USB 2.0 ports, a VGA connector and a Wi-Fi 802.11 b and g. This desktop PC ultra-compact is available at a price of 249 euros.
Along the same lines, the manufacturer offers the Wind Nettop D130, more powerful than its big brother. The D130 integrates a dual-processor heart (dual core) Intel Atom 330 clocked at 1.6 GHz and 2 GB of RAM type DDR2.
MSI does not specify the disk drive, but explains that this mini-desktop PC has a DVD multi-layers. Like the SC 120, the Wind D130 consumes a maximum of 35 watts, while a conventional chassis consumes 250 to 300 Watts.
The release of this French nettop has not yet been announced. In Taiwan, where it is marketed, the Wind D130 is sold 8 000 new Taiwan dollars, or about 181 euros.
