Google Chrome is available in final version for Windows

Google had indicated that developers accelerated work on the browser chrome for a final version, and now it’s done: Version 1.0 is available.
For those who have followed the betas, the final package (1.0.154.36) does indeed say that few novelties. This is, broadly speaking, what we know already, two nuances: bugs have been fixed, and performance have been improved.
Thus spoke Google performance multiplied by 1.4 on the test SunSpider for its V8 engine and JavaScript 1.5 on the V8 Benchmark test. Of course, no user has used these tools in daily life, but this means an increase in the speed display should be visible at all sites using massively in JavaScript, like Facebook, MySpace or Gmail.
Among the most significant adjustments involved on Chrome 1.0, we can see those related to playing audio and video, which face many problems. Many users had particularly noted the concerns in the use of Flash, which sometimes makes it uncomfortable using sites like YouTube or DailyMotion.
Apart from those who continued to use the beta from the 0.4 branch, the manager of favorites is a welcome novelty. The new component is basic and is not comparable to that found for example in Firefox, but it is a first step in the easier management of its sites.
The Private Browsing feature is also accessible via the menu in a mechanical key or via the combination Ctrl + Shift + M. Once active, a new window opens, and nothing that you do not register on the machine. This concerns the sites visited, the identifiers used, cookies, etc..
Chrome is in its first version, and it is fast, thanks to WebKit engine and V8, it is also limited in functionality. It lacks so many possibilities. The options are far from dense, and can not eg change the behavior of the “New Tab”, which will invariably see the latest sites visited and the latest favorites added.
In any case, Chrome is a browser surprising speed and has therefore great potential. The onus now for Google to enrich with features, new options and especially a system extensions, it is for the moment, completely unprepared. The final version of the browser can be downloaded from this page.
Google also says efforts are focused now on Mac OS X and Linux software.

Hello Hypnosis. Google Chrome have very confortable Tab Menu, for me it works faster than firefox 3.0.4, but slower than Opera 9.5. In Chrome you can create Web Application Shortcuts. For me Firefox is still the best.
