Comcast: A limit of 250 GB per month for its subscribers

We know that the situation on American broadband connections raises many problems for several years. Trapped between an aging infrastructure and growing needs in terms of increased bandwidth, access providers are sometimes forced to find solutions. Comcast just to find one, which has unfortunately nothing new: impose a limit on downloading.
The measure may seem surprising at a time when rates are rising, as mailboxes advance toward unlimited storage and videos online, not to mention shopping online music, are proliferating at high speed. Comcast has yet to amend the conditions of his service: from now on, customers will be subject to a limit of 250 GB per month rates down (download) and ascending (upload) combined.
Of course, this limit will not really one for everyone, and Comcast has announced that its customers more bandwidth hungry would be contacted personally to find solutions. Comcast plays cards communication stating that 250 GB will:
* To send 50 million emails
* To download 62 500 songs (4 MB per song)
* To download 125 movies classic definition (2 GB per film)
* Send 25 000 high-resolution digital photos (10 MB per photo)
The ISP also specifies that the amount of data consumed per month on average by its customers rather revolves around 2 to 3 GB history of reassurance.
The measure will take place effective October 1.
This decision ComCast interleaved in a tight for the operator. Pressed to better safeguard its bandwidth, it had opted for a massive blocking of P2P networks among its subscribers, before returning to his choice and prefer a more lenient regulation. According to information provided by the operator, most gourmands should also see their rates reduced for 10 to 20 minutes during peak attendance, in order to avoid traffic jams and ensure the equitable sharing of bandwidth.
