10 million iPhones sold in September?

The ambitious share of 10 million iPhone sold by 2008 will not only be respected, but in all likelihood will be affected very soon, even by September. This is revealed by a study on the IMEI iPhone 3G conducted by a group of fans armed with patience and Google Docs.
The joint project of AFB and Investor’s Village AAPL Sanity has certosina curate the collection of numerical codes for each phone and, on the basis of the sequence so far rebuilt, it was possible to affirm that the number of 3G iPhone sold until August 30 2008 would be at least 5649 million. If these add to the 2.4 million first-generation and sold in the first part of 2008, means that Apple has released no fewer than 8 million devices this year.
Judging by these numbers and with a production which stands at around 800,000 units per week, it seems quite unlikely that the excess of 10 million iPhone products – if not sold – by the end of September.
In 2007, the iPhone sold amounted to 3.71 million.
