Battery Life

A good design and excellent performance in the long battery life, the key to a great NETBOOK. The size and number of cells in a battery case, but hardware and software configurations can help prolong its life, too.

The HP and Lenovo are only available with 3 cells, which results in little resistance. The MSI is available with a 3 and 6 cells, you have more than three hours to provide a beautiful 5:13.

However, the EEA PC 6-cell battery life is not as impressive, but the Samsung 6-cell rendering 6:34 to 50% brightness (highest to lowest brightness), the best time, we have seen up now.

Despite the third expanded batteries are available for some of these units (we tested a 9-cell for MSI, which lasted a little over 7 ½ hours), most consumers prefer to have a good battery of your original purchase. Samsung offers a doubt that the MSI is worthy of a second.

Value

The Netbook prices has been gradual over the past few years. Anything less than $ 500 seems a good deal for a 10-inch when $ 400 or less is the benchmark for smaller systems. The prices of these units vary, at the time of writing, the lowest are:

  • MSI Wind (3-cell battery): $350
  • MSI Wind (6-cell Battery): $450
  • Lenovo S10: $400
  • Samsung NC10: $499
  • ASUS Eee PC 1000H: $450
  • HP Mini 1000: $399

Samsung is the most expensive of the five, but at that price to get the longest battery life, superior keyboard, wireless and high-yielding fast. The MSI has the lowest price and is also a great machine with a decent keyboard, the real problem is a 3-stack, which provides only about 2 hours.
