WD RE4-GP, disc of 2 TV with 64 MB of cache
For already a few months we knew of 2 the hard disk existence of TV, presented/displayed in December with the WD20EADS like present leader unique model in the market. It is certainly in the next months the competition will follow WD, but they have so far not done it… and they continue sending new models.
The last one in arriving is the 2 Western Digital RE4-GP of capacity TV, with serial number WD2002FYPS and whose main newness is the implementation of 64 MB of cache instead of the 32 which we found in the WD20EADS. One is about a disc focused to the professional public, since according to WD it incorporates several new technologies equip that it with a greater reliability of operation, as well as systems of power saving that allow to diminish their consumption in until a 40% with respect to previous generations.
Although he is professional, his price is not too high. While the domestic WD20EADS, also with 2 TV, leaves by about 280 Euros, this WD RE4-GP will cost 257 Euros, although they do not determine to us if it includes IVA or no. to include would be it a much more interesting option that domestic the Green Caviar, since besides being noticeably cheaper it will include better engineering specifications in several aspects.
