AMD Phenom II X6 with six cores

Interesting news for all of us who like to watch and enjoy the evolution of the hardware market. I knew some time ago that the existence of Thuban, a new range of processors from AMD household sector whose main novelty will be found in the six processing cores.
Now new details about AMD shuffled Thuban, like the name: AMD Phenom II X6. That is a new family on the Phenom, with many of them inherited characteristics including the socket, AM3, and 45 nanometers.
Another detail that has leaked is the frequency of 2.8 GHz, and the size of the L2 and L3 caches of 512 KB to 6 MB, respectively. Unfortunately, both the release date and price are two points for now totally unknown, although some sources maintain mid-2010 and indicate that will be expensive, at least compared to other AMD processors. We must also understand the novelty that will bring the six cores, which will cause the price is inflated at least during the early months.
On the other side we also have these new style that we bring you today. Intel will also release the Gulftown 6 Core over the next year. Above them are also known little news, but what does seem established is that use the LGA1366 and X58 chipset, with close relatives of the Core i7. In fact, some even are calling the Intel Core i9.

Can’t wait for these babies to come out… I’ve been running hyper-v and one of this will be more than sufficient to handle the process.

Hello JKA, if we look at a test results i7 is better one, but if we compare quality/price AMD definitely is the winner
