The manufacturer Gigabyte has unveiled its first motherboard to accommodate the future AMD Phenom II socket AM3, the GA-MA790FXT-UD5P. A total of ten SATA ports are available, including six in RAID 0, 1, 5 or 10 through the southbridge. Two Gigabit Ethernet ports to aggregate throughput of two connections are also available. The panel input / output also 8 rear USB ports, 2 Firewire connectors, taken 2 PS / 2 keyboard and mouse, 2 digital audio outputs and a set of 6 input / output analog audio.

The AMD Phenom X4 II 920 and 940 launched earlier this year to use socket AM2 + and are therefore not supported, the first AM3 processors are expected to share in the second quarter of the year. Like AM3 Phenom II, price and exact date of availability of this motherboard is not yet known.
