SanDisk wants to protect data between the PC and a USB key

Specialist flash presented at the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas a USB key to a new kind, capable of protecting data stored with encryption of data on demand.
Dubbed Ultra Backup USB key that has a small button on its hull just press it when the storage device is connected to a computer to activate a program that will launch the protection of data transferred.
Data security is ensured at two levels. As a first step, the backup files are protected by a password and AES encryption (Advanced Encryption Standard). Then they are more secure by a coding method symmetrical advanced. SanDisk announced a capacity of about 25 MB per second read and 18 MBps write.
The USB Backup Ultra will be available in April next in versions ranging from 8 to 64 GB of storage. The awards will be between 39 and 229 dollars.
