Corsair SSD P128 and P64, high performance and a possible price-adjusted
We talk about Corsair, one of the manufacturers of RAM and power supplies most famous and sought after. Its high-end products are really good, but I must say that usually have very high prices and unattractive to the average user.
They recently presented a new SSD disks, known as P64 and P128 Corsair. Corsair said that the P128 is a high-end SSD, which will offer speeds of around 220 and 200 MB / s reading and writing, respectively. Provides specifications and used in such devices, in the higher ranges.
However, Corsair P64 is, in my view, much more interesting. It keeps the writing speed in the 220 MB / s, but reduces the write to 120 MB / s. Is this good? Logically imply a somewhat lower performance that his brother, P128, but also bring a substantially lower price.
As to price, the P128 is already selling at NewEgg for $ 345, whereas the P64 (which will be sold starting in July) has not yet familiar with the data.
Could be estimated at 250 or 280 euros for the mere fact of being somewhat less potent. It is a far more affordable price for a product that, although the moment of truth would yield something worse, would offer a potential higher than that of a traditional hard drive. If we also take into account that the P64 will certainly be of 64 GB (it’s strange, but Corsair has not yet formalized this information), the Corsair P64 could be even below the price indicated earlier, touching even 150 euros. That would take a really reasonable price with many even start to take it as an option.
Still no developments forward. In the coming days we hope to have information about the price, as well as potential evidence of the two products … and will update this post when everything is official and final. But it sounds really good 64GB SSD for 150 or 180 euros, right?
