ati 5970

Wow. I think with onomatopoeia that can describe the new ATI 5970, presented this morning, and that confirms what we discussed about three weeks ago: is most powerful on the market today.

Most striking is the use of two GPUs, as they did in past generations other previous models, providing a processing rate of 4.64 TFLOPS, something really high considering that the 5870 “only” managed to reach the 2.7 TFLOPS. Of course we have a very high end card that occupies two hollow (like all current 5000 Series) and with a power through the use of 40 nanometers, is quite moderate: between 51 and 294 watts, even with the minimum requirement of having a power of 650 watts with two 6-pin connectors and two 8.

Each of the ATi 5970 GPUs will be in the 725 MHz, with the use of GDDR5 memory at 1 GHz and with the possibility of providing audio outputs video of all types: VGA, DVI, HDMI or DisplayPort. As usual, the final outputs will be the decision maker’s card.

asus n61

Asus has launched this week two new laptops are very focused on multimedia content playback. They are the most powerful on the market, but they are quite large in terms of physical dimensions and have some interesting features. Their names,  Asus N61 and Asus N71.

They share most features, such as processor (Intel Core 2 Duo P7450 to 2.13 GHz), RAM (4 GB DDR2) and the graph, an NVidia GT220M with a GT240M option on certain models. The main difference is on the screen of 16 inches and resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels for the N61, and 17.3 inches and 1600 × 800 pixels for the N71. Both are LED screens and the two teams offer an HDMI output.

As for prices, the Asus N61 and N71 are located in an upper-middle range, costing 850 to 1,100 euros (1300 USD), respectively. Hitachi 500GB portable

Must see, I still remember when the portable hard drive with a 60 or 80 GB was a paradise. Now, they are ridiculous and not much time has passed.

Asus for example presented in February and March two new laptops, the Asus M70 and M50, with 1 TB hard drives. And we’re talking about laptops. An ability monstrous, unthinkable a short time and will no longer a barrier to the video on the laptop, but the external solutions were not bad choice.

This hard drive will be possible thanks to Hitachi’s announcement in which we introduced its new notebook hard drives of 500 GB, which will go on sale to manufacturers in February. With two of these giant drives will be able to 1 TB of laptops from Asus.

In addition to the 500 GB model, 2.5 inches and priced at $ 400, Hitachi also announced a 400 GB hard drive 350 GB coming out of euros. As for the future, the brand wants to have available at 7200 rpm versions of these discs without a significant increase in consumption.

For the occasion she will wear on her beautiful black pcb the heatpipe Formula brand, which according to the firm is obviously better than the original heat sink.
