In a post on the official blog of Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu, vice president of OEM services Chris Kenyon has published several interesting information. We learn such as Canonical and Google are bound by contract to work on the operating system OS chrome.
The famous Linux distribution Ubuntu OS and Chrome are therefore common. Chris Kenyon said the goal was clearly not reinvent the wheel, and the open source development focuses more on cooperation than competition. Well, we will not hold a conference on the subject, but there is cooperation between the two companies in software engineering done in Chrome OS.
In a stated goal of transparency and Canonical announced that it supplies components to Google’s system. Chris Kenyon also points indicating that Ubuntu keeps its traditional operating system to do everything, of course taking care of standard applications, while Chrome OS focuses entirely on Web applications.
