IBM has launched a hosted version of its messaging software Lotus Notes, which enables companies from 1000 to 10 000 employees to use the messaging platform without needing to purchase and install software. The service Lotus Notes Messaging Hosted expected to cost less than $ 10 per month per user.

Yesterday was the day of the Linux Day 2008, the annual event in support of GNU / Linux and Free Software promoted by the Italian Linux Society (ILS) and organized by Linux User Group (LUG) scattered throughout the country.
This year, with events in some 120 cities, has received the approval of President Napolitano and was highlighted in major national newspapers such as Repubblica, Corriere or Unity.
An event even more important if you plan to the climate of great interest to the Free Software by public administrations, increasingly aware of the benefits that may result from the adoption of open solutions. In Lucca, for example, a workshop was precisely the theme “Free Software in the PA.”
